Mother of Wakefield residents, accomplished pianist
SALEM, N.H. — Shirley M. Lyons, 84, of Salem, N.H. formerly of Stoneham died on Monday, Sept. 29 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Needham.
Born in Winchester on July 21, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Masi) Blout.
Mrs. Lyons was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1948. She was a longtime Stoneham resident. Mrs. Lyons had moved to New Hampshire in 2000. She was an accomplished pianist.
Mrs. Lyons was the wife of the late William Lyons. She is survived by her son Kevin Lyons and his wife Cindy of Wakefield; her two daughters Janet Lyons of Strafford, N.H. and Patty Breault of Wakefield; her two brothers Henry Blout Jr. of Melrose and Michael Blout of New Hampshire. Mrs. Lyons is also survived by her four grandchildren Stephen, Kasey, Daniel and David.
Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. There are no calling hours.
