WRENTHAM — Last Saturday, the Lynnfield High boys’ cross country team participated in the MIAA Division 3A cross country championships at the Wrentham Developmental Center in the final meet of the year.
Of the 29 schools there, the Pioneers came in 16th place with a total score of 441. Weston won the event with a 70.
The race was 5,000 meters (3.1 miles) long.
Lynnfield’s top runner was senior Shea McCarthy who took 25th overall in 17:23. He was followed by junior Dylan Nguyen (33rd, 17:40).
Sophomore Rowan Bayer (129th, 19:45) and junior Nick Degennaro (130th, 19:45) crossed the line together followed by senior Ashkrit Mahajan (139th, 19:55), sophomore Liam Gardner (150th, 20:03) and sophomore Ritvik Mahajan (165th, 20:34).
