LYNNFIELD — Get ready to illuminate the holiday season.
Lynnfield Recreation is once again hosting its annual “Light Up Lynnfield” contest.
“‘Light Up Lynnfield’ is the perfect opportunity for residents to showcase their best Christmas decorations and spread festive cheer throughout our community,” Director Jimmy Olsen wrote on Lynnfield Recreation’s Facebook page. “Join the fun.”
Residents can visit LynnfieldRec.com to register for the “Light Up Lynnfield” contest.
“Register today to have your home added to our holiday map, allowing everyone in Lynnfield to enjoy your beautiful displays,” wrote Olsen. “Let’s come together to light up our town and create a magical atmosphere for all to enjoy.”
The registration deadline is Monday, Dec. 2 and the map will be released on Friday, Dec. 6.
“Don’t miss out on the chance to share your holiday spirit,” said Olsen. “Sign up now and make this season even brighter. If you want your house featured on the map, decorate your house by Dec. 2. Each marked location features a house adorned with unique Christmas decorations, from classic themes to whimsical displays. There’s something magical for everyone to enjoy. Use the map to plan your own route through our beautifully decorated neighborhoods. Whether you choose to stroll or drive, we recommend visiting in the evening when all the lights are twinkling and the decorations shine bright.”
Olsen urges residents to “please respect the homeowners and their displays.”
