NORTH READING — Traditional Veterans’ Day observances will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. on the town common. This year special honors will be paid to our nation’s Vietnam veterans in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
The honored guest speaker will be SSgt. Rey Rivera. Anticipated speakers will be Sen. Bruce Tarr, Rep. Brad Jones Jr., Selectmen Chairman Robert Maucer and Selectman Jeff Yull.
Also participating will be Town Administrator Michael Gilleberto, the North Reading Minit and Militia, the Patriot Guard Riders, Rev. Rachel Fisher from the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the High School Band, the Police and Fire Departments, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and the North Reading Venture Crew.
Children are encouraged to attend.
