Most of the canceled games have been rescheduled
WAKEFIELD — There were three more Wakefield Memorial High contests postponed yesterday leaving athletic directors in the area scrambling to reschedule three days worth of games.
The varsity boys’ hockey game against Belmont was postponed yesterday and will be made up on Monday, Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. at the Viglirolo Rink.
The varsity wrestling match against Melrose was postponed yesterday and will be made up on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Charbonneau Field House.
The varsity girls’ hockey game against Austin Prep was postponed yesterday. The makeup is yet to be announced.
Most of Tuesday’s games have been rescheduled as well. The varsity, JV and freshman boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will make up their games on Monday, Feb. 2 against Belmont.
The varsity boys’ basketball team will play at 7 p.m. at Belmont High School, the JV boys’ basketball team will play at 3:30 p.m. at Belmont High School and the freshman boys’ hoop team will host the Marauders at 5:30 p.m. at the Charbonneau Field House.
The varsity girls’ basketball team will play at 5 p.m. at Belmont High School, the JV girls’ basketball team will play at 3:30 p.m. at Belmont High School and the freshman girls’ hoop team will host the Marauders at 4 p.m. at the Charbonneau Field House.
The varsity girls’ indoor track meet against Burlington has already been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lexington Field House.
The girls’ gymnastics team’s non-league meet at home against Malden which was postponed Tuesday, has yet to be rescheduled.
The varsity boys’ hockey game at Watertown and the JV boys’ hockey game at home against Belmont, which were both scheduled for Monday, also haven’t been rescheduled yet.
