NRHS HOSTED its annual Ray Landry Academic Decathlon Invitational recently. Competitors from about 10 towns took seven challenging tests centered around a theme topic. The topic for 2015 was “New Alternatives in Energy: Ingenuity and Innovation.” This year, NRHS was represented by (left to right): teacher Sarah Buttersworth, juniors Rob Lesch who won honorable mentions in Math and Science, a silver metal in Art, and took home the plaque for team high scorer; Jackson Hastings, who earned a bronze in Science and an honorable mention in Language and Literature; and Ian Swart, who received an honorable mention in Music, and teacher Sarah Carmichael.
