WAKEFIELD — Attention Wakefield families. Wakefield Little League will be having a walk-in registration for baseball and softball on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Wakefield Memorial High School Cafeteria, located at 60 Farm St. Online registration is also open at wakefieldlittleleague.org.

SAUGUS — The Wakefield Memorial High JV boys’ hockey team didn’t let up a goal against North Andover and Malden Catholic and, not surprisingly, won both contests.

Elite Runner

WAKEFIELD resident Shawn Carlson is having quite a season on the Bishop Fenwick boys' indoor track team. The junior placed seventh this past Sunday at the MSTCA Coaches Elite meet with a PR of 1:23.58 in the 600 meter run which ranks him number one in the Massachusetts Div. 5 rankings. A few weeks ago he helped his team shatter the meet record in the Div. 5 State Relays in the Sprint Medley where he ran a 1:58 in the 800 meter portion of the relay. Carlson will look to win his first Div. 5 state title on Feb. 13.
