Harrington, Lucas, Buckley, Beck, Cusack honored in Freedom division

WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League girls’ indoor track coaches met recently to make this year’s all-star selections in both the Freedom and Liberty divisions.
For the Wakefield Memorial High girls’ indoor track team, it had five all-stars named.
The five Warriors were junior Abby Harrington, sophomore Ana Lucas, senior Sarah Buckley, freshman Eadeen Beck and senior Isa Cusack.
Harrington was honored in the 600 meters, Lucas was chosen in the dash and Buckley was selected in the hurdles. Beck and Cusack were named in the shot put.
Burlington had three all-stars in the Freedom division named and Melrose had the league MVP. The rest of the Freedom division all-star list was unavailable.
In the M.L. Liberty division, Lexington led the way in the balloting with 10 all-stars named. Woburn was next with five while Winchester had four. Belmont had two and both Arlington and Reading each had one all-star named.
Lexington and Arlington had the two co-MVPs.
