MELROSE — Charles JD Neulist III, 67, passed away peacefully at his home on September 4 after a brief illness.

Charles is predeceased by his mother Barbara (English) Neulist of Medford and father

Charles JD Neulist II of Long Island, NY. He is survived by brother Joseph Neulist and wife Paula of Tewksbury; sisters Joan Kelly of Malden, Barbara Yurashus of Wakefield, Lee Yurashus of Woburn and Anita Yurashis of Florida along with many nieces and nephews.

Charles attended Melrose Public Schools and graduated from Melrose High School with the class of 1974. After high school Charles spent six years in the US Army earning the rank of Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division. Charles was a proud, second generation union ironworker with Local 7 where he served as apprentice instructor, President of the Executive Board and Business Agent for New Hampshire. Charles’s happiest times were riding his motorcycle, especially with the Union Ironworker’s Motorcycle Club where he served as President.

As a union man Charles took up many charities to support his brother and sister

ironworkers and therefore in lieu of flowers please continue his tradition and donate to one of his favorite charities.
