LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield-North Reading-Danvers High co-op gymnastics team qualified for the North Sectionals, which will take place on Feb. 25 at Algonquin Regional High School with the meet starting at 9 a.m.

The top 12 teams are invited using their average of their top four scores throughout the season.

The Falcons got the top seed with an average score of 147.30 while the defending state champions, Masconomet, is seeded second at 147.28.

Masco, who went undefeated this winter at 9-0 and won the CAL-NEC title, is the lone team that beat the 8-1 Falcons this year as the Chieftains won 148.8- 147.125 last month.

However, the Falcons got the top slot since their top four average was slightly higher than the Chieftains.

Danvers is led by the Wescott sisters, Maddie and Kaylee. Kaylee is an eighth-grader but has been the team top scorer this winter. Maddie is the sophomore captain and she had also had a solid year.

This year was the first year Lynnfield has been part of the co-op and they have a couple of members who have been key contributors.  Those two would be freshman Camryn Donovan and Maddie Migliero.

In their Jan. 31 132.45- 76.5 win over host Peabody, Donovan was first in the all-around with a total score of 35.25 while Migliero was second with a 34.05.

Another spark for the Falcons from Lynnfield is Sophia Fiorentino who has several top thee finishes this season.

For Falcons head coach Jen Habeeb’s squad to qualify for the state final, they must place in the top four.
