WAKEFIELD — Edwina M. Migliore died on May 7, 2018, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.
A long time resident of Wakefield, most recently of Salem, N.H. She was born in Somerville to Walter and Helen (Roche) Mullett. She was a graduate of Medford High School 1942 and a Cadet Nurse graduate of Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing 1945. Her early career included working as a head nurse at Massachusetts General and Malden Hospitals. In her later career she worked at several area doctor offices.
In her youth she was an active member of the Girl Scouts of America, and served as a leader as an adult. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, towle painting, cake decorating, needle work, and especially time spent with the Street Ladies and her grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 47 years John, sisters Helen Petitti and Alice Alman. She is survived by loving daughters Susan Green and Richard Thurston, and Carol Stanton and her husband Patrick. Grandsons Sean Stanton and Christine Webster, Timothy Green and Sarah Bush, Kyle Green and Krista Pare and Ryan Stanton and his wife Casey. Great-grandchildren Alexis Pare, Evan Green, Quinn Stanton, and many nieces and nephews.
