MELROSE — Eric C. Spada, 47, a lifelong resident of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 3, 2017.
One of two sons, Eric was born in Winchester on October 9, 1969 and raised and educated in Melrose. He enjoyed working as a carpenter for Armor Door and Lock in Malden for several years. Eric was a family oriented man who was happiest spending time at home in Melrose. He was a thoughtful son and cared for his mother. He was deeply devoted to his two children, Farrah and Vincent.
He enjoyed cooking nightly dinners, watching the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox, and spending time with his partner, Debbie. Most of all, his children were his life and he was so happy to spend any amount of time with them. He will be deeply missed, but always lovingly remembered.
Eric was the proud father of Farrah Spada and Vincent Spada, both of Malden. He was the cherished son of Christine (Thompson) Spada and the late Frank P. Spada of Melrose. He was the loving partner of Debra L. Rachlen of Melrose. He was the caring brother of the late Christopher P. Spada. He was the dear uncle of Christopher Spada of Melrose, and Frank Spada of Saugus. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
