Teacher was active garden club member

OBIT_Euleta-Johnson_LFV_webLYNNFIELD — Euleta C. Johnson, 103, of Winchester, formerly of Lynnfield and Peabody, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016 at The Gables in Winchester.

Born in Wakefield on July 2, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Lizzie V. (Small) Gray.

Mrs. Johnson was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She later graduated from Salem Teachers College. She had taught in the Wakefield and Reading School Systems and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lynnfield. Mrs. Johnson was an active member of The Garden Club of Lynnfield and Peabody.

She was the wife of the late Charles E. Johnson. She was the mother of Richard A. Johnson and his wife Margaret of Lincoln and the grandmother of Lisa Shaw and her husband Scott, and Bryan Johnson and his wife MaryEllen. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Ally Johnson, Jake and Elsie Shaw, and  by her former daughter-in-law, Lindy Johnson.

Her funeral was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
