MELROSE — Helen C. (McCarte) Lambert, 95, of Melrose and formerly of Everett, died at the Winchester Hospital on March 14.
Helen was born and raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1937.
She was a homemaker and resided in Everett until 1967 and for the past 48 years in Melrose. Helen was an active member of the Incarnation Church and choir in Melrose for many years.
Her grandchildren, church and family were the most important parts of her life.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late John F. Lambert for 44 years. She was the loving mother of Mary Ellen Goodwin of Lexington and Eileen Montgomery of Wisconsin. She was the cherished grandmother of John, Mark, Meaghan, Sean, James, Katie and Maura. Predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Saturday, March 21, at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
