sampson-obit-webWOBURN — Helga C. (Kronman) Sampson, formerly of Everett and Malden, died at the Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn on Nov. 17 at the age of 85.

Helga was born and raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1949. She resided in Everett for 79 years and Malden for 6 years.

Helga worked as a warranty administrator for Market Forge in Everett for many years and was very proud of her Swedish heritage. She enjoyed baking and her family was the most important part of her life.

Helga was the beloved wife of the late Roland “Buddy” Sampson. She was the loving mother of Kristen Somerville and her husband Richard of Scarborough, Maine and Roland Sampson Jr. and his wife Laura of Melrose. She was the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Charles, Amanda, Olivia and Kevin. She was the caring sister of the late Florence Wilderman, Arthur Anderson, Henry Gouthro and Carl Kronman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose on Monday, Nov. 21, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
