NORTH READING — Are you interested in learning more about genealogy and your own family history, but don’t know where to begin? Or have you run into roadblocks after starting your family history journey? Then this presentation is for you!

On Tuesday, June 20 at 1 p.m., community members of all ages are welcome to attend a free Introduction to Genealogy presentation by Leslie Carabello at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center, Third Meeting House on the Common.

Leslie’s interest in genealogy began at the early age of 15, and she has been involved with genealogy for over 30 years, doing her own family history as well as helping others.

She served as the Director of The Family History Center in at her church Lynnfield for 16 years.

Her presentation will cover an overview of genealogy and family history. It will include some common records to search, and where to do the searches online or in person.

You will learn the different ways to find family history with non-traditional formats of genealogy as well as how to stay connected with other family members, especially with the younger generations to pass on your traditions with stories.
