NORTH READING – If you enjoy a steaming bowl of fresh lobster bisque, good conversation and old fashioned hospitality, then the Lobster Bisque Lenten Luncheon is the perfect spot for you to dine this Friday, March 29.

Come on down to the Union Congregational Church every Friday during Lent from 12 to 1 p.m. at Fellowship Hall, 148 Haverhill St.

Too busy to stay for lunch? Simply pre-order a quart or two, pick it up during the luncheon and enjoy a homemade supper Friday night.

The bisque recipe is a carefully guarded secret by church pastor and chief cook, Rev. Rick Hughes. His bisque is complimented by a variety of homemade breads, desserts and beverages. Could strawberry shortcake be on the dessert menu this week? You’ll have to come on down to find out!

The suggested donation for the luncheon is $10 per person. Seconds are encouraged, so skip breakfast!

Pre-ordered quarts are also available for a donation of $10. Quarts can be ordered in advance by calling the church office at 978-664-3703 or by sending an email to: nruccoffice@aol.com.
