Jeannette-Costanza-obit-webMELROSE — Jeannette R. (Gallezzo) Costanza, 93, of Melrose, died peacefully on Dec. 18, 2016. 

She was born in Revere on Nov. 1, 1923 to Ralph and Phyllis (Charloni) Gallezzo. Jeannette was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School in 1941. She lived in Revere for several years after high school before moving to Malden for 13 years and then settling in Melrose in 1958, where she remained for the rest of her life. Jeannette worked at York Oldsmobile in Linden Square, Malden for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowled at the Town Line for 15 years. Jeannette was also a parishioner at St. Mary Church in Melrose for many years. She loved dogs, particularly her best friend and companion Oliver. 

Jeannette was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Joseph E. Costanza Sr. She was the devoted mother of Joseph E. Costanza Jr. of Melrose, Lynnette Von Kriegenbergh of Melrose, Cheryl L. D’Amore and her husband John of Saugus, Judith T. Gallant of Melrose, the late John Melchionno and the late Nicholas T. Costanza. She was the loving grandmother of Anthony, John Anthony, Marc, Jeannette and Catherine. She was the proud great-grandmother of Ariana, Joseph, Samuel, Noah, Asher and Max. She was the sister of the late Daniel Gallezzo and the late Ralph Gallezzo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be private.
