Musician, actor graduated from Melrose High

Carriere-obit-webMELROSE — Joseph Jafo Carriere, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away at his Melrose home on Saturday, April 22, after several lengthy illnesses.
Joe was born and lived in Melrose. He attended the Horace Mann and St. Mary’s schools in Melrose. Joe graduated from Melrose High School and also attended the Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall School, Northeastern and Berklee College of Music.
Joe, an accomplished guitarist, led his band “Jafo World” at well-known venues and charitable event in and around Boston, with occasional appearances at resort locations in New York and northern New England.
Joe was pursuing a successful acting career. He appeared in various speaking, supporting, or featured roles in several recent films, including “Bleed For This,” “Black Mass,” “District C-11,” “DJ Stan The Man,” “The Last Delivery” and “Portico.”
His talents were many and his joy exuded from the core of his being. His greatest pleasure was in helping others attain their goals.
Joe was the beloved son of Grace and Robert Carriere of Melrose, and the beloved brother of Ann M. Carriere of Melrose. Relatives, friends and followers worldwide will miss him.
