WAKEFIELD — Joyce A. McLeod, 81, of Wakefield and formerly of Melrose, died on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the EPOCH of Melrose.
Born in Stoneham in Aug. 26, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Augustus F. and Hazel M. (Johnson) Chilcott.
Mrs. McLeod was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1951. She had retired from alano clothing store in Wakefield and had also worked at Russell Badge in Wakefield. Mrs. McLeod had been a Wakefield resident since 1963 and was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Wakefield.
She was the wife of the late Frederick L. McLeod and is survived by her daughter Valerie McLeod of Melrose.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
