WAKEFIELD — Wakefield resident Kyle Anne Rush lost her fight to her illness on April 27 at the age of 19.
Kyle was the beloved daughter of John F. and Catherine Rush. She was the loving sister to John, Gregory, Scott, Mary, Meghan, Samantha, Brandon, Daniel and late Colin J. Rush.
Although she struggled for many years, she embraced the world for all that it was with a passion unmatched by most.
Kyle graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School in 2013. She was a co-founder of the WMHS Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team, member of WMHS Color Guard, WMHS Girls’ JV Women’s’ Ice Hockey, WMHS Track, WMHS Sign Language club, WMHS Social Awareness club, as well as a member of the Wakefield White Sox.
Kyle held a Certificate as a Phlebotomy Technician and hoped to start work in the medical field to help others. For those who knew her, she was someone with a big heart, open mind and, in true Rush form, was never shy about speaking her mind.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 a.m.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
