WAKEFIELD — The Lynnfield Moms Group (LMG) is hosting an ‘80s Night fundraiser Saturday, April 9 from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Lynnfield Wakefield Lodge of Elks, 63 Bay State Rd., Wakefield.

Costumes are encouraged, so take a trip to mom’s attic to dig out the miniskirts, leggings, parachute pants and cropped tops that have been (thankfully) packed away since high school, back when MTV music videos and Miami Vice dominated the airwaves.

The LMG, in partnership with Townscape, is hosting the ‘80s fundraiser to help pay for replacement playground equipment at Glen Meadow Park. The event includes a silent auction, music by DJ Deja, snacks, cash bar, photo booth and, of course, a costume contest.

Attendees can purchase tickets at: www.store.lynnfield.moms.com. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The LMG is partnering with Uber to help get attendees home safely with a free first-time ride with Uber (up to $30 per guest). This service is for new users only. Pre-register in advance of the event at www.uber.com/go/donationmatch.
