26 athletes from Wakefield entered for 119th running

BOSTON — The town of Wakefield will be well-represented in the 119th running of the Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20.

Twenty-six runners are officially entered from Wakefield. They all received BIB numbers.

There are a total 14 female entrants and 12 male entrants in the race.

Shawn Conway, 44, was the top male finisher from Wakefield a year ago with a time of 3:11:17. He is entered once again.

The top female finisher among the returning runners is Krissy Nowell, 37, who ran a time of 4:50:16. She is running the 26.2 mile race once again.

The rest of the male Wakefield runners that are officially entered, competed in the event a year ago, and were awarded times last year included Gavin Macbeath (3:19:45), John Conley (3:40:58), Michael Mondello (3:29:52), Patrick Glynn (4:10:54), Michael Hartin (4:54:34) and Richard Collette Jr. (6:32:05). Their ages are 45, 47, 43, 52, 53 and 64, respectively.

The rest of the female runners that are officially entered, competed in the event a year ago, and were awarded times last year included Jennifer DeSimone (4:52:01), Suzie Oliveira (4:54:21) and Teresa O’Brien (5:34:48). Their ages are 46, 52 and 52, respectively.
