LYNNFIELD — On May 21, the Lynnfield High girls’ track and field team improved to 2-1 as they beat host Triton 77-68 up in Byfield in an evening meet.
The Pioneers had 11 winners led by Lauren Braconnier who had three wins. The senior co-captain was first in the 200-meters (27.7), 400-meters (1:01.6), and the triple jump (32-7).
April Luders, Riley Hallahan and Jasmine Rose all had a pair of wins. Luders, a senior co-captain, was first in the 300-meters hurdles (1:10.7), and high jump (4-10) while Hallahan, a junior captain, captured first in the shot put (30-8) and javelin (87-10). Rose, another junior captain, was first in the long jump (16-3.5), and 100-meter hurdles (15.86).
Other winners were Giuliana Guarracino in the pole vault (7-6), and Bell in the discus (70-8).
The Pioneers had five second-place finishes, Braconnier in the discus (1:00.1), Rose in the triple jump (27-11), Carbone in the 100-meters (13.88), Livra Tare in the pole vault (6-6) and Luders in the long jump (16-2.5).
On May 27, the Pioneers host Pentucket at Lynnfield Middle School. That meet will start at 3:30 p.m.
