DeLeireobit-webMELROSE — Mark S. DeLeire, 51, of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 22.

Mark was born in Cambridge on March 24, 1965 and raised in Revere and later Melrose where he graduated from Melrose High School. Mark worked for many years in maintenance at Wonderland in Revere.

Mark was a good-hearted guy whose unconditional generosity and kindness were well known. He was proud of his roots in Revere where he maintained many longtime connections, fond memories and friends in the community. He enjoyed relaxing at Revere Beach, catching a Red Sox or Pats game with friends and spending time at Wonderland.

Mark faced every challenge in life with a positive attitude and never complained. His love for family never wavered and he took great pride in being a father. He adored his daughter, loved his nieces and nephews and had a special bond with his mother. A friend to many and beloved family member, Mark will be always remembered for his kind, gentle way.

Mark was the loving son of Vivian J. (Campbell) DeLeire and the late John A. DeLeire. He was the beloved father of Amanda M. DeLeire and her fiance Milton Sagastibelza of Manchester, N.H. He was the cherished brother of John A. DeLeire III and his wife Melissa of Saugus, Donald K. DeLeire and his wife Joanelle of Wakefield, Robert F. DeLeire and his wife Christine of Weymouth, Kimberly J. DeLeire and her partner Robert Scalfani of Melrose and Linda V. DeLeire and her partner Jorge Alves of Woburn. He was the former husband of Christine Halliday of Manchester, N.H. Caring uncle of Bailey, Emily, Brendan, Andrew, Kiera, Sean, Anna and Lena.

Relatives and friends gathered in honor and remembrance of Mark’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Monday, Sept. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., and again on Tuesday morning for his funeral service celebrated at 11:15 a.m.
