MHS graduate was a bookkeeper

 

WAKEFIELD — Mary P. “Pat” (Lamson) O’Connell, a 40-year resident of Wakefield and formerly of Melrose, entered into eternal life on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose following a brief illness. She was 63 years old.

Pat was born in Malden on April 20, 1951, a daughter of the late Harold O. and Genevieve L. (Quill) Lamson. She grew up in Melrose, where she was educated in the Melrose Public School system and graduated from Melrose High School in 1969. Pat worked as a bookkeeper for Shawmut Jewelry in Boston for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Pat was the devoted mother of Brian O’Connell, Barry O’Connell, Ben O’Connell and his wife Christie and William O’Connell and his wife Jennifer. She was the loving Grams to Jack, Ava, Henry, Cami and Teddy. She was the beloved sister of Peg Quin, Bill Lamson, Gen Lamson, Brian Lamson, Tim Lamson, Tom Lamson and John Lamson. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Pat’s funeral Mass on Monday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield. Her burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
