DiMino-obit-webMELROSE — Mary V. (Paula) DiMino, 88, passed away at her home in Melrose on June 17.

Mary was born in Arlington on Aug. 5, 1926 to the late Placido and Mary (Ferdinand) Paula. She was raised in Cambridge, lived most of her life in Medford and Melrose for the past seven years.

Mrs. DiMino worked for the A&P Grocery stores for a few years, and as a housekeeper at St. Mary Church’s rectory, where she was a proud member of the congregation. Mary did volunteer work for the Melrose Food Pantry and was involved with the 200 Club at the Fuller House in Melrose.

Mrs. DiMino was the beloved wife of the late Ignazio “Bobby” DiMino. She was the loving mother of Anthony DiMino and his wife Patricia of Nashua, N.H., Mary D. Forbes and her husband Bill of Stoneham, Paula A. Murphy and her husband Harry of Medford and the late Joseph V. DiMino. She was the cherished grandmother of Billy, Scott, Julie, Jennifer, Andrea, Greg, Marie and the late Joel Forbes. She was the caring sister of George Paula and his wife Ella of Medford and the late John, Joe, Sid and Teddy Paula and Anna Sousa. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Sunday, June 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. The funeral was from the Gately Funeral Home on Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Herbert Street, Melrose at 10:30 a.m.

Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Woburn.
