MELROSE—Melrose High has continued their long tradition of sending some of their finest athletes to the NCAA field of college athletics. That tradition continues this year as nearly 10 Melrose High varsity athletes have signed their commitment to play athletics on the college level starting in the fall of 2024.
The group of Melrose High athletes recently gathered to make it official and each of these athletes represent a wide variety of sports at MHS, who benefitted from their outstanding performances.

All these athletes were critical components to the success of their Melrose High sport teams, earning All Star nods, All Scholastic selections and/or breaking school records.
Melrose Athletic Director Steve Fogarty saluted the student athletes’ accomplishments.
“Melrose High School has enjoyed a great run of success with our athletes competing at the collegiate level, becoming student leaders on their campuses with many becoming captains of their teams,” he said. “The skills they have learned transfer into life skills applicable in their careers. We have seen a wide variety of career choices from doctors to lawyers, military officers, business people, teachers and coaches to police and firefighters. The qualities they have learned on the playing fields have no doubtingly helped them become the contributing members of society we strive for. We anticipate the same success for this group of graduating seniors.”
Congrats to these athletes and best of luck in their college careers!
