LYNN — Dorothy T. (Quigley) McCurdy, 87, of Lynn, died at the Brudnick Center in Peabody on July 30, 2019.

Dorothy was born in Everett, a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Melrose and went on to earn her degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Lynnfield for many years and resided in Lynn for 60 years. Dorothy worked as a Food Chemist for Old Neighborhood Foods in Lynn for 27 years before her retirement.

She was an avid reader and member of the Emmanuel College Alumni. Dorothy was a former volunteer at My Brother’s Table in Lynn, always stayed in touch with her friends and her family was the most important part of her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late Victor E. McCurdy for 56 years. Loving mother of Jim McCurdy and his wife Pamela of Dover, Steve McCurdy and his wife Joyce of Milton, Kevin McCurdy and his spouse Roger Cason of Calif. and Maureen Keiran and her fiancé Michael Curley of Ipswich. Cherished grandmother of Jon, Courtney, Zach, Samantha, Lizzy, Madison and Will. Caring sister of James Quigley and his wife Helen of Medford. Also survived by nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield on Friday, August 9. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
