MELROSE — Stanley G. Smiley, 75, of Melrose, passed away on July 26, 2018.
Stanley was born in Lynn on December 31, 1942 to Stanley W. and Elizabeth (Sargent) Smiley. He was raised in Marblehead and graduated from Marblehead High School. Stanley worked as a foreman for General Electric. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army as a Military Policeman.
He was the beloved husband of Jean Robinson of Melrose. Cousin of William Clifton of Calif. A funeral service was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Monday, July 30. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Burial was private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pine Street Inn, Attn: Shelli Hezekiah, 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118.
