GLOUCESTER — Venilde M. (da Silva) Moura, 87, of Gloucester, formerly of Melrose and Somerville, died at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on December 9, 2019. Prior to Kaplan, Mrs. Moura spent eight years at Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Moura was the beloved wife of the late John F. C. Moura. Loving mother of Ana Isabel “Bela” (Moura) Maranhas and her husband Michael of Rockport and Rui M. Moura and his wife Karen of Hampton Falls, N.H. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Moura of Hampton Falls, N.H. and Jessica Moura of the U.S. Army. Loving sister of Odette Fernandes of Melrose and Maria Manuela Castro of Lynnfield. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Thursday, Dec. 12. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, was on Friday morning December 13, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St. Melrose. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
