MELROSE—The Melrose Youth Football & Cheerleading (MYFC) teams celebrated their 2018 season and handed out awards at their recent annual banquet at Memorial Hall.

League president Jonathan Pietrantonio told the audience that the season “was one of the most enjoyable and a great success.” The growing program included boys and girls from 1-8 grade within the Commonwealth Youth Football Conference.

The evening’s guest speaker included Melrose High’s recently named 2019 football captain Billy Pesce. Billy spoke about his positive MYFC experience and encouraged the crowd of over 250 participants, coaches and parents to “continue to work hard and reaching towards their goal of playing under the Friday night lights.”
