Michael-Clark-obit-webMELROSE — Michael Edward Clark, of Melrose, died December 21 at the age of 25.
Michael was born on July 30, 1990 to Sharon Beth Demers and Edward M. Clark. He was raised in Melrose, and graduated from Melrose High School in 2009. Michael was an avid hockey player; he played the positions of goaltender and defenseman. In addition to hockey, Michael enjoyed soccer and baseball. He was most passionate about cars. He was a talented mechanic, even though he never went to school for it. He learned from friends and by teaching himself. Michael helped install engines and transmissions into cars for his family. He also worked as a mechanic at the Tracy Volkswagen dealership in Cape Cod.
Michael was truly passionate for anything with an engine; he even started watching Motor Week when he was only five-years-old. He had many dreams and always aspired to improve himself. After high school, Michael moved out of Massachusetts and spent time in Dallas, San Antonio, and Tennessee. Most of all, Michael was a loving, caring person. He was passionate about his friendships and loved his family very much.
Michael was the beloved son of Sharon Beth Demers and Edward M. Clark of Melrose. He was the loving brother of Seana Blanchard and her husband Robert of Saugus. He was the proud uncle of Eleanor Grace Blanchard. He was the cherished grandson of William T. Clark Sr.; the late Esther M. Clark; Roger L. Demers; and the late Euginia Demers. He is also survived by loving uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose. All additional proceeds will be donated in Michael’s name to the Melrose High School Scholarship Fund. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
