PEABODY — Michael F. Keddie, of Peabody, formerly of Melrose, died on Jan. 16 at the age of 46.
Michael was born in Melrose on Feb. 26, 1969 to Edward and Mary (Ozea) Keddie. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1987. After high school, Michael lived in Malden for a few years and Leominster for several years before settling in Peabody, where he lived for the past 10 years. Michael worked as the assistant manager at Montvale Tire in Melrose for 26 years. He always had a love for cars and was an excellent mechanic. He was loved by all of his customers and truly had a passion for his work.
Outside of work, Michael loved going camping. Michael was a very outgoing and friendly person with a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and customers.
He was the beloved husband of Kathleen Fahy. He was the loving father of Sinead Keddie of Peabody. He was the caring brother of Linda Sybicki and her husband John of Tewksbury, Laurie Bessette and her husband Thomas of Connecticut and Richard Keddie and his wife Julie of Connecticut. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Committal Service was held at the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Broadway, Malden on Monday, Jan. 25, followed by a Celebration of Life immediately following the Committal Services at the Knights of Columbus, 23 West Foster St. in Melrose.
