NORTH READING — The North Reading Community Impact Team will be hosting National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Ipswich River Park.

The event features a free BBQ by the North Reading Police Department, interactive elements by the Fire Department, a bounce obstacle course, face painting, touch-a-truck, drone demonstration, resource tables, free raffles and more.

Residents of all ages are invited to come check out this night to celebrate a safe community.

Additional features include:

  • Rescue and law enforcement truck demonstrations
  • Information on protecting seniors and family members from identity theft and scams
  • Disaster preparation information for all ages
  • Substance abuse education walk-through
