Enjoyed golfing, pickleball and vacationing in Maine

NORTH READING — Carole Ann Mason, beloved wife of John P. Mason, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at the age of 75.  Carole was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence and Ester (Huey) Moss.

Carole grew up in Pitman, N.J.  After graduating from Pitman High School, she moved to Boston where she attended Graham Junior College. While in New England, Carole took up the sport of skiing. This led her to meet her husband, John, at a happy hour in Killington, Vt.  Together, they settled in North Reading to raise their son, Greg.

Carole enjoyed golfing, tennis, pickleball and vacationing in Baypoint, Maine. She was an active member at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Lynnfield. She spent many years volunteering her time toward cancer research fundraising and previously held the position of president of the American Cancer Society North Shore chapter.  Carole was also a board member of the Woburn Women’s Golf Association.

Carole was an extremely gifted artist. She enjoyed painting and made many beautiful quilts for her friends and family. Carole was a loving wife, devoted mother, dedicated grandmother, family member and friend to all. She will be deeply missed by the many lives she has touched.
