NORTH READING — The State Primary on Tuesday, September 3 is fast approaching.

The voter registration deadline to participate in this election is this Saturday, August 24, which is also the first day of Early Voting.

The Office of the Town Clerk in North Reading will hold voter registration at Town Hall, 235 North St., on Saturday, August 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during which voters may register to voter, change their party affiliation or their voting address or name.  Those with any questions may call Town Clerk Susan Duplin at 978-357-5230.

Citizens may also register to vote, change their party, name or address and check their voter status here by visiting the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website at:  https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ovr/

Changes made on that website by midnight on August 24 will be in effect for the Sept. 3 primary.

Early voting will be held in the Town Hall gymnasium per the following schedule:

• Saturday, Aug 24: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Monday, Aug. 26: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Tuesday, Aug. 27: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Wednesday, Aug. 28: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Thursday, Aug. 29: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Friday, Aug. 30: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On Election Day, Tuesday, Sept. 3, all voters in the town’s four precincts will vote at St. Theresa’s Parish Hall. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
