Supervisor at Chelsea Industries for 30 years

 

MEDFORD — Phyllis J. Moran, 95 of Medford, died Monday March 30, after a brief illness in the Royal Megansett Nursing Home, in North Falmouth.

Born in Boston, she lived in Medford since 1953 and was the daughter of the late Vincenza (DiPerri) and Salvatore Malacaso. Phyllis was a Supervisor at Chelsea Industries in Chelsea for 30 years and retired in 1985.

She was the beloved wife of the late John B. Moran and the devoted mother of Carol Outram and her husband Lloyd of Falmouth and John Moran and his wife Joanne of North Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Carey Edmunds, Elizabeth Gustavsen and John D. Moran. She was also the loving great-grandmother of Avianna Edmunds, Sarah and Emily Gustavsen, Henry and Noah Moran. Phyllis was the sister of the late Rose, Charles, James and Anthony Malacaso.

Her funeral was held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, April 7, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford. Services concluded with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Phyllis’ name to the Fidelis Hospice, 25 Railroad Sq., Haverhill MA 01832.
