The 6–3 Lynnfield Pioneers will face the 8–2 North Reading Hornets for the 58th time on Thanksgiving Day in a game that could be viewed as the de facto CAL Championship game since the Pioneers (4–0) captured the Baker Division title – their fifth straight – and the Hornets (3–1) are co-champs of the Kinney Division, winning top honors in the league for the first time since 1980.
The Hornets are a ground and pound team while the Pioneers are more balanced on offense but skew more to the passing attack. This year’s game will be played at home at Lynnfield’s Pioneer Stadium and starts at 10:30 a.m.
