WAKEFIELD — Science is important in our lives. It is why we have many of the resources we have today. To make sure we keep advancing our knowledge, we need to be sure everyone is aware of what science is and what it does. Jordan Parry, along with the Massachusetts Maniacs 4H Club in Wakefield, will hold a science program at the library to benefit the younger children in our community. “Science in Action” will be held from 1:30-3:45 on Tuesday, April 21, in the Lucius Beebe Library’s Lecture Hall. The program is especially geared for children in the first to third grades. This is a free event but they ask that you pre-register by calling 781-245-9984.
The Massachusetts 4-H Program is the outreach program of UMass Extension and the USDA with local support from state and federal funding and the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation. For more information on this event and the 4-H program contact leader Joanne Brown at jojofam@juno.com or the regional 4-H office at wmarcks@umass.umext.edu.
