LYNNFIELD — The softball team compiled a 2-1 record last week, improving the Pioneers’ overall record this season to 3-3.
The Pioneers fell 5-3 to North Reading on April 22.
Sophomore Hayley O’Brien started on the mound and finished with two strikeouts and three walks.
Sophomore Rachel Badger had a double, single and scored a run. Junior Shannon Furey had an RBI single. Senior Olivia DeLuca had an RBI single.
Senior Abbie Weaver had a single. O’Brien had a hit. Senior Annika Han scored a run. Freshman Taylor Tringali scored a run. Freshman Alexandra Wing reached first base on an error.
Additional games
The Pioneers began last week defeating East Boston 12-0 on April 18. The locals fell 8-1 to Newburyport April 20.
Lynnfield defeated Masconomet 3-2 April 15. The Pioneers fell 13-7 to Pentucket on April 13. The locals defeated Triton 6-5 April 11.
