Thank you to the Wakefield community for supporting us during the Stamp Out Hunger food drive by the National Letter Carriers Association.
We collected over 7 tons of food to stock our shelves for the summer. Also, a big thank you to the 60+ volunteers, many of whom stayed through multiple shifts to sort and stock food donations. Some of the groups that participated include The Warrior Club, Scout Troop 701, The First Baptist Church Youth Groups from Wakefield and Medford and, of course, many families and individuals.
In addition, we’d like to thank you the Wakefield Item and The Savings Bank for helping us spread the word. We couldn’t do this without everyone. Thank you one and all!
