Enjoyed skiing, playing tennis and all things Hungarian
LYNNFIELD — Theresa E. Yulling, 87, of Lynnfield, died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022 at the Life Care Center of the North Shore in Lynn.
Born in New York, New York on January 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Csoma) Yulling.
Ms. Yulling was a registered nurse, and started her career in New York City where she grew up. She moved to Lynnfield in 1969 and worked at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Salem Hospital, Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and others before her retirement. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Theresa enjoyed skiing, playing tennis, sailing her Sunfish and all things Hungarian, especially walking her Hungarian Vizsla dogs.
Theresa’s brother Francis Yulling and his wife, Carolyn Young, of Cambridge survive her. Two cousins, Jordan Hegedus of Lynnfield; and Eva Benyola of New Jersey, also survive Theresa. Theresa’s remaining family in Hungary and her adopted Hungarian families, including the Nagys in Florida, Pennsylvania and Alabama; Robert Herold of Islip, Long Island; and the Harolds of Pennsylvania also survive her.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022 from 4-7 p.m., and people will be encouraged to share their favorite memories of Theresa in celebration of her life. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield, on Wednesday, Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
