Dylan Melanson, David Melanson honored

WAKEFIELD — The Middlesex League golf coaches met recently to make this year’s all-star selections.

For the Wakefield Memorial High golf team, it had two players chosen.

Senior co-captain Dylan Melanson and junior David Melanson were the two Warriors chosen. Both were selected for a second straight year.

Dylan Melanson played at primarily the two or three spot and had a record of nine wins, four losses and one halved match.

David Melanson played at the one spot and posted a record of eight wins, four losses and two halved matches.

Woburn, Reading, Winchester, Lexington, Belmont, Arlington, Stoneham and Burlington each had two all-stars named as well. Watertown, Melrose, and Wilmington each had one all-star chosen.

Reading’s Liam Dwyer was named the league MVP.
