MELROSE — The City of Melrose is sharing the following updates for the upcoming week:
Yard waste curbside pickup is during the week of September 23
The next curbside yard waste pickup opportunity for Melrose residents is the week of September 23. Bagged yard waste will be collected by the Department of Public Works on the regular trash and recycling pickup day for the neighborhood. Yard waste includes: leaves, grass clippings and brush up to one inch (1”) in diameter bundled and tied. No dirt allowed. Yard waste must be set out in paper leaf bags or in barrels. All bags and barrels must be less than 45 gallons and 45 pounds. There is a 10 barrel/bag maximum per pick up. Barrels must be labeled “yard waste” to avoid confusion with regular household waste. With any questions, call the Department of Public Works at 781-665-0142.
