WAKEFIELD — Wakefield Community Access Television (WCAT) has received two bronze “Telly Awards” for outstanding achievement in the documentary category.

One of the films, The Hogan Experience, chronicles the heart-warming story of volunteer Kelley Tobyne and her dog Mack as they provide pet therapy for developmentally disabled adults at the Hogan Center in Hathorne. (Tobyne is a Wakefield Police Officer by day).

The other film, Pedro’s Judo, tells the story of Wakefield’s premier Judo facility, founded by Jimmy Pedro, a U.S. Olympian and Current U.S. Olympic Judo Coach.

The Telly Awards, now in its 35th year, is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV programs as well as online video and films.
