GREENWOOD SCHOOL students are participating in the national Lemonade Day program this Saturday, May 2 on the Wakefield Lower Common on the gazebo side. The goal of Lemonade Day is to empower today’s youth to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs by helping them start, own and operate their very own business — a lemonade stand. The children of the Greenwood School are running their stand as a non-profit business and are donating 100 percent of the proceeds to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry. The stand, aptly named “ Lemon-Aid,” will operate on the Wakefield Lower Common from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost of a glass of lemonade is $1. Cash, checks and even credit cards are accepted.
