MELROSE — Pass along or pick up sports gear for kids at a youth sports equipment swap on Sunday, March 17. The free event will be held at the 368 Collective, a pop-up small business launch pad at 368 Main St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Zero Waste Melrose and Lend and Mend are teaming up to help local families repurpose and exchange items for a wide variety of sports.

Everyone is welcome to donate or take items, but please note that drop-off ends at 12:30 p.m. Attendees can bring only these categories of clean, dry and gently used items to the swap: (1) baseball and softball bats, cleats, bags and gloves; (2) tennis racquets; (3) lacrosse sticks and cleats; (4) golf clubs, bags and shoes; (5) soccer and football cleats; (6) rollerblades, roller skates, ice skates, hockey skates and sticks; (7) swim goggles; (8) basketballs, footballs and soccer balls; and (9) sneakers. As with past local swaps, there’s no need to drop off to take something.

The event is part of a series of themed swaps offered by ZWM. For more information, visit zerowastemelrose.org.
