Loved Christmas
MELROSE — Donna Lee Stanton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, October 19. Donna was born on July 20, 1961 at Ideal Hospital in Endicott, NY. She was the daughter of the late Barbara and Elmer Stanton of Melrose. Donna graduated from Salem State University School of Nursing in 2000. Her profession highlighted her compassion and empathy for others. She was most recently employed by Siemens Healthineers in Walpole.
Donna was best known for her sassy sense of humor and incomparable generous spirit. Donna had a profound love for all things Christmas. She kept her home decorated year round and was a member of an international Facebook group that exchanged Christmas cards every year.
She was the wife and loving partner of Karen Berube for 32 years. She is survived by her four sisters Sherryl Sants of Walpole; Darlene and her husband Ronald Houde of Hampstead, NH; her twin sister Paula and wife Kim Smith of Norwood; and Jamie and Joseph Laudanno, Sr. of Saugus. Donna leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews Andrew and Nicholas Sants; Rebecca Clark and Jonathan Houde; and Joseph Laudanno, Jr. Her five great nieces and nephew brought her immense joy.
She will be dearly missed by her family and the many friends who crossed her path.
