WAKEFIELD — Anthony E. “Tony” Trazi Jr., 52, of Wakefield and formerly of Stoneham and Malden, died March 20 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
He was born in Stoneham on Sept. 8, 1963 and was the beloved son of Mary F. (Dawson) Trazi of Stoneham and the late Anthony E. Trazi.
Tony was raised in Stoneham and Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He had been a Wakefield resident since 1994 and was employed with National Oak Distributors of Somerville. He enjoyed riding his Harley, trivia, NASCAR, playing the Lottery and sharing many “good times” with the DelloRusso, Kelley and Bucci families.
Tony will be remembered for his strong work ethic, courtesy and respect for others and his keen sense of humor.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Caryn T. (Hughes) Trazi. He was the son in-law of Charles and Nancy (West) Hughes. He was the brother in-law of Cheryl and Russ McLaughlin, Cindy and Joe Maio and Charlie Hughes and his fiancée Kristy McFadries. He was the cousin of Lisa and Wilson Linares-Marino and their children Sofia and Lena. Uncle of Joseph, Nicole, Angela, Dylan, Annie, Christopher, Katie and Butchie. He is also survived by his two cats, Trixie and Rizzo and his pet bird Petie. Also, his late pets Pixie and Sonny.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, on Friday at 10. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m.
